The new Mapa Base service offers official and free cartography of Catalonia and all over the world
The new Base Map offers a reference map of Catalonia and the whole world, which can be viewed at different scales. This tool allows you to incorporate high-quality maps into web pages and mobile applications, with the possibility of adding your own information to create new products.
The Base Map is drawn up from ICGC production and, for the rest of the world, uses information from OpenMapTiles/OpenStreetMap and other reliable sources. It takes special care in the reliability, accuracy and updating of the data (continues in the case of the Catalan territory) and incorporates the official and unofficial toponymy in Catalan.
Companies and developers now have reliable cartography, to design personalized applications, without relying on third-party services and saving the costs of buying cartographic bases.
Simplified Base Map: Light stylization to facilitate the overlay of information.
Hybrid Ortho Base Map: Image base map with the current ortho image in Catalonia and with a superposition of toponymy and road infrastructure.
