Official municipal boundary lines with corresponding landmarks

The Municipal Map of Catalonia is the basis of the official municipal limits in force with the corresponding objects, at a scale of 1:5,000 and in 2D, as established by Decree 244/2007, of November 6.

The current municipal limits come from the rethinking made by the Generalitat of Catalonia from the delimitation files at the beginning of the 20th century. The project of the Municipal Map of Catalonia that is provided by the General Directorate of Local Administration of the Generalitat of Catalonia with the technical support of the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia facilitates the councils the procedure to determine and fix each line of the map. limit and adapt it, if necessary, to the current reality of the territory, generating a municipal line that a cop approved by the Plens of the councils and published in the DOGC remains with the current delimitation line.

The municipal delimitation is dynamic within its boundaries within the territorial boundaries, but is currently also subject to the evolution of the development of the Municipal Map of Catalonia. The base is periodically updated based on the sessions of the Territorial Delimitation Commission, which have only three copies each

In relation to this set of data, the following products are distributed:

The Municipal Map of the municipalities that have the complete approved delimitation (one fitxer for each municipality).
The status of each term line of all the municipalities of Catalonia, while the Municipal Map is in the process of completion (not all the municipalities currently have the approved delimitation)
