The Second Graphic Heritage Conference is jointly organised by the Biblioteca de Catalunya (BC), the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), and the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC). These three public institutions preserve and provide access to their graphic collections, which include various types of documents (drawings, engravings, prints, posters, maps...), and represent a unique and significant testimony to the history, culture, and artistic expressions of Catalonia.

The Graphic Heritage Conference aims to be a meeting space for professionals who work daily with this type of documentation.

This second edition seeks to address some of the professional challenges that are already part of the dynamics of heritage institutions. Due to their fragile nature, graphic art collections face a delicate balance between sustainability and the need to make them accessible to both specialists and the general public. While we are aware that there are no magical solutions to such a challenge, we believe it is essential to come together to reflect, share experiences, and advance in the search for tools that help us achieve the goal of dissemination without compromising the longevity of the works.
