ICGC surpasses 110,000 images in the Digital Map Library and strengthens open access to territorial heritage
The Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC) has surpassed 110,000 images available in its Digital Map Library, reinforcing open access to Catalonia’s cartographic and graphic heritage.
This digital collection includes maps, photographs, books and other territory-related documents, ranging from historical materials to more recent productions.
The Digital Map Library enables online consultation and download of high-resolution documents and contributes to the preservation and dissemination of Catalonia’s territorial heritage. The contents are freely accessible and include materials from the 15th century to the present day.
With this milestone, the ICGC strengthens its commitment to open data access and to supporting research, dissemination and knowledge of the territory.
