International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction: cases in the Orígens Geopark

Within the framework of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC) and the Orígens Geopark are organizing this conference on geological risks, which is structured in two parts: Firstly, the concept of geological risk will be introduced and, on one hand, the identification studies will be presented, and on the other hand, the reports supporting the legality issued by the ICGC in the administrative procedure, as instruments of prevention against geological risks. Secondly, two towns in the Orígens Geopark area will be visited to show problems associated with geological phenomena and the corrective and mitigation measures that have been carried out.
The event, open to all audiences, is especially aimed at those involved in the management of the territory, both from the public and private spheres.
