What do you know about earthquakes? Is there a way to protect ourselves?

As part of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC) has set up a temporary exhibition on earthquakes, which can be visited at the Visitor Centre of the Geopark of Central Catalonia and will be open on 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 October.

The ICGC is providing a variety of material: posters, seismometers, presentations and educational videos. In addition, on Sunday 13 October, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., it will hold an educational presentation on earthquakes and the seismology service of Catalonia, accompanied by workshops with small interactive models and a variety of material to experiment with the generation of earthquakes, seismic waves and the response of buildings.

Family activity. Recommended for children aged 8 and over.
