Historian Isabel Segura and exhibition curator Noelia Ramos will present the catalogue Leonor Ferrer: A Life Between Lines, a publication that compiles the contents of the exhibition held at Palau Robert between September 2024 and February 2025.
The volume highlights the figure of Leonor Ferrer (Barcelona, 1874–1960), the first woman to obtain the title of draughtswoman in Spain (1905), as well as her social and feminist commitment. The catalogue provides an exhaustive reconstruction of her professional and activist career, based on an exceptional documentary collection preserved by her family for more than a century and now housed in the Map Library of the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC).
This event offers an opportunity to delve into the life and legacy of a pioneer who paved the way for women in technical and scientific fields, while inviting reflection on the importance of preserving women’s personal archives as part of our historical and cultural heritage.
The book is available for purchase in the ICGC online store
