The VISSIR viewer is a tool developed by the ICGC that allows the query and download of diverse geoinformation about Catalonia.

The main objective of VISSIR is to provide users with easy and fast access to detailed geographic information about Catalonia. It is intended for professionals in sectors such as urban planning, environmental management, engineering and education, as well as for the general public, for technical, academic, recreational and informative uses.

Technical data

To develop the viewer, cartographic and geospatial data collected and constantly updated by the ICGC have been used. This includes orthophotos, elevation models, LiDAR data and geographic information layers.

Functionalities

VISSIR offers several functionalities, such as the visualization of maps in different formats, the superposition of thematic layers, tools for measuring distances and areas, and the possibility of downloading data in formats such as JPEG, GeoTIFF, ECW, among others.

It also provides access to the Download Viewer, where the user can access and download all the cartographic information of the ICGC in different formats.
