The conference focuses on the two main image service programmes of the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC): the annual image coverage programme, the territorial orthophoto, and the programme for the recovery, conservation and preservation of aerial image collections over our territory, the photo library of Catalonia. Both have been structural programmes of the ICGC since its creation and are a fundamental part of the services it offers to citizens. Both the Photo Library and the Territorial Orthophoto have had, during the last year, significant developments in the open service and exploitation layer and this conference reflects this. Likewise, through the presentation of the use cases of collaborating companies and organisations, the applicability of these services in the business and management processes of the different users will be made clear.
The conference “Images as a testimony of territorial changes” allows us to continue to exploit and value the visual legacy that these services offer us, both for the management of our present and for better understanding our environment and our past.
