What do you know about earthquakes? Is there a way to protect ourselves?

The Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC) has set up a temporary exhibition on earthquakes and has prepared various materials: posters, presentations, an exhibition of seismometers and educational videos about the generation of earthquakes and their effects, seismic waves, the response of buildings and how to protect ourselves from an earthquake. In the exhibition we also present the Seismology Service of Catalonia and the functions it performs in terms of seismic monitoring and seismic risk mitigation in Catalonia.
