This fieldtrip offers an overview on the soil forming factors and processes taking place on the largest southern Pyrenean basin, in the Tremp area, a world class natural laboratory for geology, pedology and land use in mountainous areas.

  • Soils developed on conglomerate debris (Comiols).
  • Soils developed on tufa / travertine.
  • Soils developed on sandstone debris.
  • Soils with petrocalcic horizons, developed on residual alluvial fans.

Itinerary

  • Wednesday 17th of June, afternoon: Departure from Barcelona. Accommodation near Tremp.
