Photographs of minerals
Detailed images of minerals from different Catalan mines and deposits with the collaboration of the Catalan Mineral Group
The photo catalog currently includes 319 sample sheets of 170 different mineral species belonging to 13 mineral groups (arsenates, carbonates, native elements, phosphates, halides, hydroxides, molybdates, oxides, silicates, sulfates, sulfides, vanadates and tungstates).
The launch of this catalog has been possible thanks to the collaboration with the Catalan Mineral Group which has provided representative mineral photographs from the sample collections of its members.
The files can be consulted through the viewer and the table (with filtering by mineral, mineral group, region and locality). For each file, the minerals observed in the photograph are named, the mineral group is specified, information is included regarding the deposit/site, the locality from which the sample comes, the collection to which it belongs and the author of the photograph.
