Geophysical characterization
H/V spectral ratio of seismic noise
The H/V spectral ratio from the seismic noise recording at the Barcelona-Plaça Tetuan seismic station shows a peak around 0.52 Hz, which can be associated with the fundamental frequency of the ground; consequently, an acoustic impedance contrast is expected in the subsoil.

Wave velocity model
The shear-wave (Vs) propagation velocity model, obtained by inverting dispersion curves (using the array technique), reveals a surface layer approximately 33 meters thick with a velocity of about 435 m/s. Below this, an increase in velocity is detected, exceeding 550 m/s. The depth of investigation is insufficient to detect a layer that could be associated with the bedrock.
