On the occasion of the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Tremp's Society of Friends of the Mountain (SAM, from its initials in Catalan), jointly wiht the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC) they are organizing these conferences with the aim of presenting different types of cartographic resources useful for hiking.

On the one hand, the ICGC as a provider of cartographic information will review the different products and geoservices it offers in the field of hiking and leisure, ranging from classic topographic maps in paper format, both historical and current, through different viewers, to new digital tools and mobile applications, such as Catalunya Offline.

On the other hand, from the point of view of an experienced user in the use of cartographic tools in the field of hiking, mountain skiing and mountain biking. The potential and examples of the use of resources such as Wikiloc or Oruxmaps will be shown live, to search and download tracks, track, record new routes and share them, among other functions.

The event, open to all audiences, is aimed especially at SAM members, as well as any other member of hiking organizations or mountain enthusiasts in general.
